Friends of the North Cascades Grizzly coalition was formed in 2015 when North Cascades National Park first announced its intention to study grizzly restoration within the North Cascades Ecosystem (NCE). Founding members included Conservation Northwest, Sierra Club, National Parks Conservation Association, and the Woodland Park Zoo. Since our founding, the coalition has grown to include over 40 partner organizations, 3,600 individual donors, and recruited over 160,000 comments in support of grizzly bear recovery. Together we advocate for the long-term health and well-being of the North Cascades and one of its most iconic species: the grizzly bear.
